Community Standards

Users may disagree, debate technical matters, discuss operating practices, compare equipment, and express opinions. However, users must treat others with reasonable respect. The following behavior is prohibited:

  • targeted harassment, stalking, bullying, and intimidation;
  • credible threats;
  • malicious impersonation;
  • coordinated abuse and unlawful discrimination;
  • targeted hateful abuse;
  • deliberate publication of sensitive private information;
  • sexual exploitation;
  • scams, fraud, malicious spam, malware, and phishing;
  • copyright abuse; and
  • serious or repeated violations of another person’s rights.

Technical Disagreements

Amateur radio involves strong opinions about equipment, antennas, modes, contesting, propagation, licensing, and operating procedures. Disagreement is allowed. Personal abuse is not. Challenge ideas and technical claims rather than harass the people making them.
